Meikle Files Black is a unique leadership development programme focussed on human high performance and leadership of performance environments.

Research is at the heart of everything we do.

Andrew Meikle has been researching high achieving individuals and high performance environments for over 20 years - resulting in one of the largest banks of data of this kind in the world and he continues to add to this research all the time. The culmination is Meikle Files Black - an education programme designed to impart the insights of a lifetime of research.

This is achieved through a curriculum that both builds strength of mind and provides leaders and high potentials with knowledge and tools to stimulate improvement in both their own performance and that of their teams and/or populations within an organisation.

We are enormously proud that our advocacy score is 9.6 out of 10.

Meikle Files Black has had over 500 graduates.

The programme aims to:
  • Identify, communicate and condition what makes elite human performers unique
  • Identify what is unique about environments that stimulate people to high performance
  • Educate individuals in the practical application of Andrew’s research-based findings
  • Build strong minds
  • Provide leaders and high potentials with tools to stimulate improvements in performance from themselves, their teams and /or populations within an organisation

Who attends Meikle Files Black programme?
  • Individuals interested in improving their performance
  • Leaders interested in improving the performance of their team
  • Individuals interested in understanding the dynamics surrounding human high performance
  • High potentials

Timeframe

The Meikle Files Black programme comprises three x two day training sessions, conducted within a seven month period, covering three separate but inter-related areas of content.

The Content

1 Strong Minds: What are the cognitive patterns that underpin strength of mind?

Strong Minds content explains:
  1. What creates strength of mind (What are the unique thought processes in those individuals who demonstrate cognitive strength.)
  2. How to create cognitive strength (What are the practices/disciplines that allow an individual to strengthen their mind.)
  3. What aspects of cognitive strength are changing as the world is shaped by new dynamics (How is strength of mind changing? How does leadership use that change?)

Our strength of mind content is the effect of years of study and research into individuals such as –
  • Jim Lovell - Apollo 13 Captain
  • Nelson Mandela - President of South Africa, Nobel Peace Laureate
  • Nishioka Sensei and Shimazu Sensei - Japanese samurai
  • Michael Møller - Director General of the UN
  • Paige Alms - Big wave surfer
  • Tim McCartney-Snape - Mountaineer
  • Will Trubridge - Freediver
  • Jeff Lay - Top gun instructor
  • Nigel Brennan - Hostage and attempted escapee
  • Tookie Williams - Death row inmate

  • Edmund Hillary - Mountaineer
  • Andy McNab - SAS and author
  • Dominique Gisin - Olympic gold medal winning downhill skier

2 Human Desire: High performance is about the achievement of difficult objectives.

Individuals who pursue difficult objectives have strong reasons.

Our human desire content aims to understand:
  1. How to create potency of desire
  2. How to create consistency of desire
  3. How to create potency and consistency in teams

Our human desire content has come from many years’ research into –
  • Peter Maurer - President of the International Committee of the Red Cross
  • Nathalie Cabrol - Director of the Carl Sagan Center, SETI
  • Shirin Ebadi - Lawyer, judge, human rights activist and Nobel Peace Laureate
  • Brian Schmidt and Peter Doherty - Nobel Laureates

  • Ernst Mayr - Evolutionary biologist
  • Kieran Perkins - Champion swimmer
  • Layne Beachley - 7 times world champion surfer
  • Richard Dawkins - Evolutionary biologist and author
  • Howard Bloom - Futurist
  • Saths Cooper - South African apartheid activist

3 High Performance Environments: There are specific conditions required to stimulate performance in human beings.

Our job has been to research and uncover what are the specific environmental conditions that cause individuals or teams to improve their performance.

Our High Performance Environments content is designed to teach:
  1. What are the conditions that stimulate high performance
  2. How do you create those conditions around an individual or team
  3. What is unique about high performance environments

Our research is a combination of years of study into –
  • Red Bull High Performance Centre
  • Multiple studies of NASA including Phoenix Mars Mission and Ames Research Centre
  • Tesla Motors
  • Google / Waze
  • Facebook
  • CERN / Large Hadron Collider
  • Cold Spring Harbor Research Laboratory
  • Juilliard School
  • Royal College of Music
  • English National Ballet
